A man has died after being stabbed during an alleged daylight attack in Geelong, Victoria.
Emergency services were called to Alkira Avenue in the northern suburb of Norlane at about 12.40pm on Sunday following reports of a violent altercation involving three men and two women.
The male victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
A woman in her 20s sustained minor injuries and was treated by paramedics.
According to police, the remaining people involved left the area before officers arrived. Investigators believe all parties were known to one another.
Detectives from the Homicide Squad have launched an investigation into the incident and are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.
