Amid continuing outrage over alleged irregularities in the NEET examination process, the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) has intensified its criticism of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, with party founder Abhijeet Dipke launching an online campaign demanding his resignation.
Through a video message shared on social media, Dipke urged students, youth groups, and citizens to support the campaign and increase pressure on the government to take action. In the video, he called for accountability and described the issue as a “major failure” affecting the future of lakhs of students.
The campaign quickly gained attention online, with the video reportedly crossing 12 million views within an hour of being posted on Instagram. More than 88,000 users had also backed the initiative shortly after its launch.
The CJP campaign not only demands the Education Minister’s resignation but also calls for broader reforms in the conduct of national-level competitive examinations. Party members claimed that repeated controversies surrounding entrance tests have significantly weakened public trust in India’s examination system.
The campaign comes amid the ongoing NEET controversy, which impacted nearly 22 lakh medical aspirants across the country and led to protests, legal challenges, and political criticism. Allegations of question paper leaks and concerns over the integrity of the examination process caused widespread anxiety among students and parents.
The issue had previously drawn the attention of the Supreme Court of India, while opposition parties and student organisations also raised questions about the functioning of the National Testing Agency (NTA), which conducts several major entrance examinations.
There has been no immediate response from the Ministry of Education or the minister’s office regarding the campaign.
