Teenager critical after Ipswich stabbing and house fire

A teenager is fighting for his life after a stabbing linked to an alleged neighbourhood dispute west of Brisbane, which also led to a house fire.

Police said a confrontation involving a group of people known to each other occurred on Cascade Street in Raceview, Ipswich, on Sunday afternoon.

During the incident, a teenage boy and a woman in her 50s were both stabbed.

The teenage boy suffered critical abdominal injuries and was rushed to Queensland Children’s Hospital, where he remains in a life-threatening condition.

The woman sustained stab wounds to her chest and hands and was taken to Mater Hospital in a stable condition.

Police said the male offender also set a house on fire on the same street before firefighters managed to bring the blaze under control.
