Two men have been arrested following an alleged violent street fight in Melbourne’s west that was captured on CCTV footage.
The incident occurred on a footpath in Sunshine West, where a 19-year-old man and a 30-year-old man allegedly confronted each other while armed with metal poles.
Footage shows the pair exchanging taunts before the younger man allegedly got behind the wheel of a car and struck the older man twice with the vehicle.
Despite being hit, the 30-year-old reportedly got back to his feet as shocked bystanders attempted to prevent those involved from leaving the scene.
A grey ute parked nearby was also caught up in the incident, although its owner was not involved in the altercation.
Police arrived within minutes and took both men into custody.
Authorities have not yet confirmed what sparked the dispute, but it is understood the two men were known to each other.
The 19-year-old has been charged with several serious offences, including assault with a weapon and dangerous driving. He has been granted bail, while the 30-year-old was released pending a summons.
