Victoria Police are investigating a targeted shooting in Melbourne’s north after a house in Craigieburn was struck by gunfire earlier this week.
According to detectives from the Fawkner Divisional Response Unit, the incident occurred shortly before 1pm on October 24. An unknown man allegedly exited a black Land Rover and fired three shots at a property on Elmwood Place.
No one was inside the home at the time of the shooting, and no injuries were reported.
Investigators believe the attack was targeted and not a random act.
The suspect is described as a man wearing a black hooded jumper, a black face covering or balaclava, black tracksuit pants with a grey waistband, and black shoes with white soles.
After the shooting, the offender allegedly fled the scene on foot heading south.
Police have released footage of the suspect and are appealing to the public for assistance in identifying both the man and the vehicle involved.
Anyone with information is urged to contact the organization Crime Stoppers Victoria on 1800 333 000 or submit an anonymous report online.
